Privacy Policy
Venn with Friends is a creative word game from Hondo Entertainment. This page is the public privacy policy for the web app (giant-schrodinger.vercel.app) and the optional iOS wrapper that loads the same web experience.
What we store on your device
Gameplay progress lives locally in your browser or WKWebView storage: profile, gallery, achievements, mute preference, and settings. The iOS wrapper uses the same optional Supabase account as the web app. It does not add a second database. Guest play still works with no account.
What we store on our servers
When you enable Supabase-backed features, shared rounds, judgements, multiplayer rooms, and content reports may be stored in our database. If you choose to sign in, your email and synced progress (profile, streaks, gallery, ranked rating, shop inventory, tournaments) are stored on that account. Guest play does not require an account. Web coin or battle-pass purchases, when Stripe is configured, are processed by Stripe. Custom uploads go to Supabase Storage when backend services are enabled. Do not upload content you do not have rights to share.
Third-party services
Optional telemetry (Sentry, PostHog) helps us monitor crashes and product usage when those keys are configured. AI scoring may send your submission text and prompt labels to Google Gemini through a server-side edge function. Media lookups may call Pexels and Giphy. YouTube embeds may load when a round uses video prompts.
Children
The game is rated for a general audience (4+ / Everyone). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. Do not enter a real email or full name if you are creating a casual play profile.
Retention and deletion
Local data can be cleared by resetting site data in the browser or deleting the iOS app. For hosted multiplayer or friend-judge records, email support@hondoentertainment.com and we will delete associated rows we can identify.
